Gastroscopy
Gastroscopy in children is performed under a general anaesthetic. A flexible tube with a camera at the end is used to examine your child’s oesophagus, stomach and first part of small intestine (duodenum). Biopsies are taken which are small samples of tissue abd will be looked at by a pathologist for any abnormalities.
